SAN LUIS REY JOINS THE AAU!
It is with great pride and honor that we announce our affiliation with the AAU (Amateur Athletic Union). This organization was established in 1888 with 121 years of outstanding service and commitment to communities throughout America. Today the AAU offers programs to over 500,000 male and female athletes who participate in  34 Sports & Jr Olympics with over 50,000 Volunteers 30,000 age division events and some  250 National Championships. Our decision to align with the AAU was an easy decision to make. Our goal to provide our communities with many sports programs at the highest of standards and the best level of competition were among our reasons. There is simply no better organization anywhere for sports in America. The AAU has maintained the highest standard for athletes, coaches, and organizations without compromise.

We are pleased to launch our affiliation with the AAU  with the Fall 2009 football season. Look for more SLRAA AAU teams to be announced in the coming days and weeks. Thank you for your continued support to the San Luis Rey Trojans and now to our even larger endeavor the San Luis Rey Athletic Association!

FIGHT ON!
Dear Parent, Volunteer and future SLR Trojan family member,

The San Luis Rey Athletic Association is registered as a  501 (c) 3.  The organization is a member of the Amateure Athletic Union (AAU).  SLR  will field competitive youth teams in accordance with AAU guidelines  and will strive to include children from all walks of life. Additionally  SLR AA  family will reach into our communities to assist those in need by conducting a food drives  as a community blood drive during the year. SLRAA welcomes your participation to our organization. Every member of  SLRAA  will be expected to conduct themselves with dignity, honor, humility and the "Esprit de Corps" expected of CHAMPIONS. The academic requirements for our athletes cannot be compromised. We must not lose sight of the fact that we line up to play on any given afternoon throughout the year but we are plotting a course for life for our children.  SLRAA  seeks highly motivated adult volunteers to join the organization. Every volunteer will be carefully screened and a background check will be completed prior to an approval. Furthermore, every member of  SLRAA  must read and agree to, in writing, the AAU Code of Conduct and Expectations. This Code will clearly outline what is expected from each of us and how we must conduct ourselves ts SLRAA .  On behalf of the San Luis Rey Athletic Association thank you for your participation and support.

Fight On!

"The mission of the San Luis Rey Athletic Association is to make available to our children the opportunity to participate in goal oriented competitive team youth sports irrespective to financial constraints or limitations. It is our belief that it is imperative that we invest much of ourselves to the children of our communities so to engage them in a pattern of respect, love and responsibility that will ultimately provide them with the sure footing they need to meet the challenges that lie ahead. The commitment we undertake is about more than  sports, it is about bridging gaps, building bonds and possibly taking a weapon or drugs out of the life of a child. By giving so much of ourselves in this endeavor we strive to better not only our children but ourselves.  San Luis Rey Athletic Association,  Coaching Staff and  volunteers extend to you a warm welcome and the sincerest hope that you will consider joining the SLRAA family."

 God Bless!
